Melissi was born at the University of Hull, UK 
in the late 1990s to develop the world's first fully-digital language lab, the MDLL.
The MDLL This is now used by thousands of teachers and students in schools, colleges, universities and specialist language centres across Europe, America, Africa and Australasia - as well as in UK government & military institutions.
In 2010, Melissi came under the umbrella of Scene Cinema Ltd., a UK registered company, established in 2003 to take video production and creative writing skills into education. We used this experience to expand further into e-learning and m-learning training and consultancy.
Scene Cinema has worked with many institutions to develop Degree, BTec and Diploma programmes, as well as courses of study for high-schools, 'gifted and talented' students, 'special needs' students, young offenders, and teachers.
We remain key innovators in the educational software sector. Melissi software is designed and developed by teachers for teachers. Our efforts are now bent towards Version 5 and some exciting new educational media projects.
